Nate Harvey
Nate Harvey is an Environmental Engineer with a passion for keeping Maine environmentally sustainable during a time of robust growth
Nate grew up in Gorham, Maine, and lived out of state in Colorado and Massachusetts before moving back to Maine. After earning his B.S. in Environmental Engineering (with a focus on chemistry and water/wastewater treatment) from The University of Colorado Boulder, Nate worked as a Nursing Assistant in Worcester, Mass. during the COVID-19 pandemic. He joined the St.Germain team in June 2022.
Nate is a Certified Engineer Intern in the State of Maine and is currently working towards his Professional Engineer license. During his studies, he participated in the NASA Big Idea design challenge to design a sustainable greenhouse on the surface of Mars; participated in Capstone research and design to optimize recycling programs; and designed surface water analyses to research the anthropological impact on various watershed conditions.
As an Environmental Engineer, Nate supports the engineering practice area as well as the EHS Compliance and Environmental Assessment & Remediation practice areas. He helps with engineering design, permit reviews, and field services including site inspections, environmental site assessments, and sampling for compliance.
Nate lives in Westbrook with his partner, their two cats Reggie and Sylvia, and their dog, George. He has played music since he was young, and continues to play piano and guitar. He also likes to rock climb, hike, and explore the outdoors.
