We are seeking a motivated, self-starting and team-oriented Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist dedicated to providing quality environmental investigation, remedial design and consulting services. St.Germain is a multi-discipline firm, with service areas in environmental consulting, engineering, and health and safety. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of solid waste, energy, aggregate, industrial and commercial projects, that include investigation, hydrogeologic analyses, remedial design, project management, and much more.
The Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist’s specific responsibilities may include:
- Ability to model simple and moderately complex geological conditions and hydrogeology;
- Scheduling and coordinating various phases of investigation and remediation;
- Technical oversight;
- Ability to apply critical- and creative-thinking skills in problem solving;
- Understanding of the intent and application of a diverse set of environmental-related state and federal regulations, and the ability to effectively educate our clients specific of their regulatory obligations and compliance; and
- Preparing technical documents and reports.
The successful candidate will have, a minimum of:
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, or related field;
- Professional licensure (in Maine or ability to get Maine licensure);
- 10+ years of experience with environmental investigation, site remediation, and geologic and hydrogeologic analyses;
- Valid US driver’s license; and
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
