The CAD Civil Designer’s specific responsibilities may include:
- Site design and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D;
- Work with engineers and project managers to create designs from initial field survey to final construction drawing package;
- Create drawing sets that meet all local, state, and federal codes and requirements;
- Stormwater modeling, best management practice (BMP) design, and utility layout;
- Preparing technical design specifications;
- Become the expert for assigned project design details and requirements.
- Maintain CAD standards, incorporate new design elements and resources.
- Work within defined internal quality review process to ensure standards are met.
The successful candidate will have, a minimum of:
- Associate degree in CAD. Equivalent skill level and training considered.
- 2+ years of experience using AutoCAD is required, with prior use of 2023 Civil 3D a plus.
- Ability to draft and design simple to moderately complex projects with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to follow company CAD drafting standards and procedures.
- Ability to interpret and implement civil engineering design concepts.
- Valid US driver’s license; and
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
